“The Illume Saturnalia”

Part 2

The chaos continues in our second part of The Illume Saturnalia.

Ever Watchful visited the ‘Starberry Nook’ stall to pick up a rare fruit from Aida, the proprietor and a familiar acquaintance of Decker. The Mist Pear is a rare fruit that comes all the way from the Northern tips of The Ice Reach, and as Aida explains can be fermented into a strong poison that causes paralysis for a number of hours. Decker picks out some fruit and vegetables, with Zagreus picking out a particularly sweet candy floss.

As the party reconvened, they decided to pull together their resources to win the Shadow Pick as a team. The group spotted three of the teens from the opposition team having a turn at ‘Mr K & Miss Ill’s Quick Throw’. As the party co-ordinate to mark their targets, they prepared to snatch the ribbons from the other team. Whilst Decker provided a moving target, William and Ever successfully acquired two ribbons from two of the youths at the front of the crowd, and at the same time Caithe also sneaks one from the pocket of the small tabaxi who foiled her plans earlier.

 To gain the maximum amount of credits available, the group decided to continue trying more games. The first stop is the arm wrestling with ‘Brutus & Brawn’. Caithe and Ever decide they would like to arm wrestle with the owner Brutus. Caithe, very quickly demonstrated her strength by winning the arm wrestling contest. Ever joined in next, and after a few warm up tries, she walked away with twenty credits. Finally, William pays to have a go and in astonishment, Brutus loses the contest three times.

Heading back to the Shadow Pick, Decker has been waiting for the party. Whilst the group were playing arm wrestling with Brutus, Decker managed to sneak around the crowd picking out the yellow ribbons. Gathering up their amounting credits, they head off for more candy floss and more games to win.
