“The Buttercup Boarding House”
In episode seven, the group continue their travels through the area known as the Greenblade Dales, a very hilly region that spans multiple kingdoms across Eutrea.
On a warm and unsuspecting day, the party come across the burnt out shell of a building within a small clearing of trees. A strong charcoal smell indicates that the fire was recent. Deciding that further investigation is needed, they scope the area out. William makes it inside the building, with Ever and Decker looking for track marks around the side of the building, and Zagreus and Caithe checking the simple animal pens on the opposite side. Although the group aren’t able to find any sign of life, there are hints of movement here and there, perhaps offering some hope that the victims made it out.
With nothing left to search for, they continue their journey north, eventually coming across The Buttercup Boarding house and being introduced to Mrs Buttercup, the adorable dwarvish boarding house owner. The group are well attended to and decide to rest up and prepare for the next leg of their journey.
However, whilst preparing for a night of rest, Caithe and William begin to discuss the cube that William found on the docks of Lochwynd Quay when the pair were back in Arcfell. Curiosity got the better of William, and on a whim he decided to place his lucky glass trinket into the open slot in the cube. In their small room in the middle of the Buttercup Boarding House, William and Caithe are suddenly surrounded by a projected image from the green glowing cube.
