“The Statue in the Grass”

In the sixth episode of The Dragon’s Vale, the group begin their journey north in the hopes of finding more clues as to the nature of these robberies and vandalisms of the wayposts around Cailum. Armed with the map, recovered from the Kobolds involved in the attack on the Triscape Inn, they head north on the first leg of their journey.

The party traverse the landscape of the Greenblade Dales; a terrain of rolling hills covered with a thick layer of grasses and shrubs, and every-so-often clusters of evergreens and fir trees. Although the month of Sunwake has passed it’s zenith, the air remains particularly hot this day as the group cross the gates of Dāmos Tír – numerous stone pillars that mark the border to The Ice Reach . Caithe and Zagreus stop to admire the decorative carvings of the Dwarvish creator deity, Thorran and his axe.

As the day wears on and the party become swealtering under the midday sun, they are spotted by two Clerics of a nearby Platinum Shield temple. Offering the party some refreshing water from their fountain, they are aghast to see the symbol of the watcher around Ever Watchful’s neck. The Clerics react in a highly unusual way, the rest of the group see that they shun Ever and ask her to leave. This leaves the group in a bitter mood and unable to understand why this happened.
