“The Triscape Inn”

In our fourth episode the newly formed party decide to take Decker’s advice and come back to the Triscape Inn at night to investigate the reported vandalism. Deciding to enter the inn from the back entrance, the group sneak around the building and are surprised to find the back door handle removed. They manage to sneak their way in to take a look around.
The Triscape Inn does not look to be disturbed in any way, as the group hunt for clues to why the waypost is damaged. Only the moonlight streaming through the inn’s windows illuminates their search. Upon studying the damaged door, Ever Watchful concludes that it must have been removed in haste, and as she points this out to the rest of the party they are suddenly interrupted by a flaming arrow exploding through a window.
A moment later the group are bombarded with creatures crashing through the windows of the inn, seeking destruction and looking for any treasures they can get their hands on. As Ever Watchful hastily reacts to the onslaught, the rest of the party begin to engage in combat with the creatures they recognise as Kobolds. The fight intensifies – Zagreus ignites the Kobolds with his powerful eldridge blast, William and Caithe slash with their swords and Ever with her shield.
Once the Kobolds were defeated, the group hastily retreated through the back window when the guards were alerted to the presence of danger coming from the Triscape Inn. As guards from The Platinum Shield searched the tavern for possible trouble-makers, Ever noted that one of the downed Kobolds lying near to the window had an item stuffed inside their pack.
As she stealthily climbed back into the inn, avoiding the broken glass and destroyed furniture, Ever managed to hook a claw into the item and quietly pull it towards herself. Suddenly, she froze. She could see a guard from The Platinum Shield doubled over examining the destruction behind the bar. He quickly stood up and cocked his head as if he had heard something. Fortunately, the shadows cast within the inn protected Ever and as the guard decided he had heard nothing, she made her way back out of the window with an intriguing item in her cat-like grip.
