In our third episode William and Caithe leave the stop-over in Ryflon with Agent Decker. In their first long journey together William finds his riding skills do not come as naturally to him as Caithe’s do. Guided by Decker, they travel west through the beautiful Greenblade Dales. The Agents finally come to rest in the ruins of an old watch tower, which to their surprise, was recently used to graffitti the words ‘So too will the Empress rise with her court’. Decker notes that the words are in an older version of Draconic and the word ‘Empress’ is similar to the draconic for ‘queen’. There seems to be more to these vandalisms than they first thought.

As they arrive at The Triscape Crossing, the Agents find out they are not the only ones looking to find out what happened at the Waypost.

In our third episode William and Caithe leave the stop-over in Ryflon with Agent Decker to investigate the Triscape Crossing Inn and Waypost. Along the way they encounter a clue at an old watchtower and meet some interesting new companions.

In the episode…

As the travellers crest over the final hilly rise, they can hear the gentle flowing of the river below. Immediately, looking over the water it is clear to see why this place is held in such high esteem. The Triscape Crossing is a convergence of three separate kingdoms, and at the point of convergence an island lies in the centre of the Southern Thane River. Here, the rivers gauge widens significantly, where three bridges span the width of the river from each of the kingdoms; a brigde to the North, one to the East and one to the West of the island.

Atop the island is the Triscape Inn & Waypost. The Inn is a large, three story wooden framed building, constructed on top of a stone ground floor level. The gabled roof sports a single chimney stack and arched, leadlight windows surround the frontage. There is a large box window on the upper floor facing the road in front of the building, and a swinging sign above the doorway. It blows back and forward in the breeze.

A secondary building sits slightly back and behind the Triscape Inn. It’s oak frame and red shingle roof look very well maintained. There is a roadside marker near the building with the symbol of The Wanderer’s Waypost and the telltale trinkets and ribbons left by travellers tied to it’s post.
